Our story

Our family home since 1961

The house was built in 1961 by our father Alfredo, born in Brescia and always bound to Lake Garda even after moving to Milan. When he found this piece of land with such a unique view he had no doubts: he bought it at once, to spend his later years here with Luisa, his wife and our beloved mother.

It took almost a year to build, and the house still has the look and atmosphere of the early 1960s. Today it is Carla, Anna and Irene's house, and we still spend time here all year round. When we are not, we are happy to share it with families and groups of friends.

Garden & pool

A lime tree for lunch in the shade, a pool for the afternoon

The garden is landscaped with local trees and flowers, and a huge lime tree (tiglio) in front of the house creates a wonderful shaded area for eating al fresco. On the side of the villa there is a large swimming pool with a modern design and elegant finishings, for swimming or lounging around with family and friends.

Behind the house, near the entrance and the covered two-car parking, a small herb garden is there for your cooking and barbecues. And whatever you are doing, the view of the lake is always with you: from Salò all the way to Desenzano and Sirmione.

The lake

Salò, the Riviera and everything within a day trip

Salò sits on the western shore of Lake Garda and has the longest lakeside promenade of all the lake's towns. Its history starts with the Roman colony of Pagus Salodium; it was a stronghold of the Milanese Visconti, then part of the Venetian Republic for three centuries (the lion of St Mark still watches over Porta di San Giovanni). Gasparo da Salò, one of the first violin makers in history, was born here.

From the house you reach the centre of Salò in five minutes by car. Gardone Riviera and the Vittoriale are just past it. Sirmione, with its castle and Roman villa, is a short drive down the lake; Isola del Garda can be visited by boat from Salò.
